Debi Mazar: ‘I’m So Busted!’ Big-Tobacco Whistleblower of ‘The Insider’ Fame Chides Flick's Star for Smoking “Having played one of the '60 Minutes' producers who helped bust Big Tobacco in 'The Insider,' Debi Mazar was red-faced this week after the film’s real-life hero dressed her down for lighting up.” That’s the word from the New York Post’s Page Six column. “During a live interview on BlogTalkRadio, host Olivia Wilder asked Mazar, ‘Are you a smoker?’ ‘I don't have to answer that question. It's irrelevant,’ the actress replied,” continues the report. “In the next breath, however, she admitted, ‘I smoke from time to time but I got the facts and I don’t smoke in front of my children. I quit and then I start. I quit and then I start. Right now, I’m somewhere in between.’” Unfortunately for Debi, Jeffrey Wigand – the fired Brown & Williamson veep who in 1995 blew the whistle on the company for making its cigarettes more addictive by adding a cancer-causing agent – was listening and called the show. “You still smoking?” Jeffrey (who was played by Russell Crowe in the 1999 flick) asked Debi. “I’m so busted! I’m having a little bit here and there, yes. Is this a smoking intervention?” she said, later adding, “I’ve had two kids. "Eddie Money may have risen to rock-star status decades ago, but when it comes to his kids, he still sounds like a cop." So writes the New York Post's Page Six column, about Somewhere in Vegas host Marq with a Q's interview with the former NYPD officer. During the discussion, Eddie squeals on his only daughter, aspiring pop tart Jesse Money, for a recent offense that had previously fallen under the radar. After telling Marq the 20-year-old is “probably gonna get a [record] deal in the next year,” he says: “But the apple don’t fall far from the tree. She got a DUI on New Year’s Eve, so now she can’t drive for a year. Gotta live and learn, baby!” But Eddie’s domestic exposé doesn’t stop there. Soon after insinuating that Jesse, who came in last on MTV’s Rock the Cradle – a 2008 reality series featuring the offspring of music legends like Olivia Newton-John – is superior to established pop stars, Eddie trashes her. “She’s got an old soul. I’m not knocking Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson, but my daughter is more of a torch singer from the 60s.” Then he adds, “I don’t really know what Jessica’s gonna do. She’s out of her mind. No Hannah Montana for Disgraced Governor Did former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey try to bribe his way backstage a Hannah Montana concert? Yes, says WZAP Radio host Zachary Sang, who happened upon the disgraced pol at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., last year – and whose tale is recounted in the New York Post’s Page Six gossip column. “I was at a Hannah Montana concert and [McGreevey] was trying to bribe the security guard to let him [backstage],” the student at Wayne Valley High School in nearby Wayne, N.J. – tells Dr. Blogstein’s Radio Happy Hour host Dr. Blogstein on this week’s edition of the show. “They wouldn’t let him in, though. I carry my tape recorder with me everywhere I go where I think people are going to be around. So when he was done talking to the security guard by the door, I inched my way in, put my recorder in his face and started asking questions. I asked him why he was at a Hannah Montana concert and he just said that his daughter was there somewhere. But I didn’t see [her] anywhere," adds Zach, 15, who documented the interview on tape and later wrote about it in his school newspaper. Jim, whose 2006 memoir, The Confession, chronicles the rise and falls of his political career, resigned from office in 2004 after admitting he’d “engaged in an adult consensual affair with another man.”

“It’s scary,” Patti (above) tells us of the number of Broadway shows that have been shuttered. Patti LuPone: Up In Arms Over Broadway Closure As if the Great Recession isn’t bad enough, now the City of New York wants to make it even harder for Patti LuPone to earn a buck. In January, the diva’s Broadway revival of Gypsy closed ahead of schedule due to (as the show’s producers put it) “these uncertain financial times.” And even if she does return to the stage in the future, Patti’s not sure she can make her 8 p.m. curtain – assuming that NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg moves ahead with his plan to turn the Great White Way into the Great Walkway. Last month, Bloomberg unveiled a proposal for closing Broadway to vehiclular traffic from 47th to 42nd Streets – in the heart of Times Square – in order to build a series of pedestrian malls. “I don’t know how I’m going to get to work. Excuse me, I’ve got a show – move over!” says Patti. “What am I gonna do? Obviously [Bloomberg] doesn’t go to the theater. Well, maybe he does. This show we welcome another great guest Mr.Richard Dolan. Richard Dolan was born in Brooklyn, New York, studied at Alfred University and Oxford University, was a finalist for a Rhodes scholarship, and completed his graduate work in history at the University of Rochester. Prior to his interest in UFOs, Dolan studied U.S. Cold War strategy, Soviet history and culture, and international diplomacy. In 2000, he published UFOs and the National Security State: An Unclassified History, 1941-1973 (republished in 2002 with the subtitle Chronology of a Cover-Up, 1941-1973). This 500-page history provides clear detail on the major UFO cases of the early Cold War era, the attitudes and policies toward UFOs by the military and intelligence community, and the fascinating development of the citizen movements to end UFO secrecy. In 2009, Richard completed Volume Two of his historical study, subtitled The Cover-Up Exposed, 1973-1991, and is now at work on the final volume of his historical trilogy. Richard has also published articles and spoken at conferences around the world. Among his main themes are the destruction of our political liberties as a result of the UFO cover-up. He has also speculated on the possible nature of the non-humans themselves and what their presence here means for our civilization. This has led him to take a fresh approach to the topic of “Exopolitics” and to develop unique insights into the practical challenges and opportunities for a true disclosure of the UFO phenomenon. Richard has done a great deal of television work, having appeared on many documentaries for the History Channel, Sci Fi Channel, BBC, and elsewhere. In 2006 he was host to a six-episode series for the Sci Fi Channel, called SciFi Investigates. Richard Dolan lives in Rochester, New York, with Karyn Dolan and their two children.

Cynthia Carter: On Saturday, September 8, 2001 at approximately 5:00 a.m., Evangelist Cynthia Carter heard, while in prayer, thousands of souls weeping, moaning and groaning because they were eternally lost. While in the Spirit of the Lord she heard, They aren’t going to come to the Church; the Church must go to them. A few days later on September 11, 2001, the Twin Towers in New York was bombed by terrorist and literally thousands of souls were lost. Justina Page: On March 7, 1999 my husband, six sons, and I experienced a horrific 4 - alarm house fire which resulted in the loss of our 22 month twin son Amos, and seriously injured myself and the other twin. After my physical and emotional recovery I beagn to volunteer on the burn unit and noticed the various needs in the burn community. In an effort to help, I established The Amos House of Faith in memory of my son, to assist those who are suffering due to a burn trauma.

NAIMAH FULLER is the award winning producer/director of the ground breaking documentary project HOME: THE DOCUMENTARY MOVIE the first film about the south since the Civil Rights Movement. Fuller wore several hats in the process of creating this incredible project, including producer/director/writer/cinematographer. As the project nears completion, Naimah has taken a seat in the editors chair. Four years in the making, the film connects the historical dots between the current mass migration of African Americans relocating to the "new south" to the era of the twentieth century now known as the GREAT MIGRATION when six million black folks migrated to the west and to the north. Fullers project looks at how the new south is attracting a whole new generation of young African Americans who are the descendants of parents and grandparents who fled the terror of the Jim Crow south. They are leaving cities such as Los Angeles, Oakland, St. Louis, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, New York, to relocate to Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte, Houston, and other southern cities. The poignant question the documentary begs: Are blacks relocating to the south as a consequence of an insidious urban renewal policy called "gentrification", or is it the manifestation of a shared ethos, a spiritual calling to return home to their southern roots? The project examines these and other "push pull" factors behind this mass movement.
